first_imgLoad remaining images Last night marked the first night of jam band’s moe.’s three night run in New York, NY. moe. spent the first night of their run at the intimate Stage 48 venue, and only ticketholders who purchased three-night passes were able to enter. Needless to say, this was a very tight-knit showing from the Buffalo-based rockers. The St. Patrick’s Day celebration started off with the Irishman himself, “McBain,” before jamming into “Down Boy.” “Happy Hour Hero” also made its thematic appearance, as the band was serving up some of their own Hoppy Hour Hero brew. The second set featured a jammed out take on Pink Floyd’s “Interstellar Overdrive,” and continued with james on “The Pit,” “Tubing The River Styx” and “Farmer Ben.” Without stopping for a breath, moe. closed out the set with two very appropriate songs, “Raise A Glass” and “New York City.” NYC certainly raised a glass in celebration. The show concluded with the show’s major bust out, a version of Neil Young’s “Down By The River,” played for the first time since July of 2002.
